Opportunity to present for the Student Organization Leadership Conference!
Does your organization have experience, skills, and leadership training to share with San Jose State University student leaders? Student Involvement, a campus department that supports leadership development for the campus and over 338 student organizations, invites you to present a leadership workshop for the 8th annual Student Organization Leadership Conference (SOLC)! The conference will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 and aims to educates students with the tools and skills to effectively contribute to and improve their student organizations.
In addition to SJSU staff and faculty, we welcome off-campus professionals and organizations from the community to present at and contribute to their growing leadership conference. Possible workshop topics can include:
Maintaining the Mission and Values in an Organization
Membership Recruitment, Retention, and/or Motivation
Building an Organization’s Foundation
Transferring Leadership Skills to the Job Sector - What are Employers looking for?
Effective Management Styles
Networking to Build Organization Exposure

If you would like to volunteer and present a workshop for the conference or have a professional within your organization with expertise on relevant topics , please fill out the on-line form at: http://www.sjsu.edu/getinvolved/soal/student_orgs/org_conference/ . All completed forms and additional questions should be emailed directly to the Leadership Conference Coordinator, Pauline.firstname.lastname@example.org.
