Senior Executives from Bay Area Employers To Address Asian Pacific American Employees
San Ramon, CA – The CAAEN (Corporate Asian-American Employee Network) and AT&T recently sponsored an executive panel discussion based on the theme, “Enhancing Leadership Image Through Confident Communication Styles”. Approximately 250 guests attended the third annual event. This was the first time the event was held at the AT&T grounds in San Ramon. Last year’s event was held in San Jose at the Intel headquarters.
The lively and open discussion about how employees of Asian Pacific American descent can succeed professionally and personally in today’s challenging workplace placed particular focus on professional image and the impact of effective communication skills. This third major CAAEN sponsored event united Asian Pacific American employees from throughout the Bay Area.

Despite significant advances in education, where 44 percent of Asian Pacific Americans, 25 years and older, have secured a bachelor’s degree or higher compared with only 26 percent of the total U.S. population, there are only a few executives of Asian American descent within Fortune 500 companies and governmental agencies.
